Thanks Smokin Dog for your help. Been out for a few days couldn't respond. The tractor is on our deer Lease several hrs to the north -so when I go out I will Blow out rad-flush rad- change thermostat. I also pulled my service bill and noticed that the shop replaced the oil with 15-40 Rotella not 30wt. This tractor was manu. in the early 80's prob has never seen multi vis oil.
Would you rec going ahead and changing oil to rot-30 then adding the STP or try the STP with the 15-40--Will also check the coolant for bubles to see if a bad head gasket---Any other easy fixes to the running warm problem??
