i have not figured out why it was smoking or why the light came on. the oil is fine and i took the filter off and everything looked fine. i changed the filter and i am waiting for a new oil pressure switch. i am going to install the new switch and then test the tractor under a load and everything. so i am hoping that it was just a bad switch. but i have no clue where the smoke came from!!
