The sight glass or just a small bolt is on the left side of transmission behind the clutch. I think originally it had GL1 mineral oil in it 80wt , non detergent. The hydraulic and transmission oil is one of the same. You can replace it with UDT oil , but some people say the two kinds of oil do not mix, so you would have to drain and fill with UDT , then you could also clean the filter in the transmission. GL1 is still available though Napa and others, but you have to ask for it.
