Just my feelings, I run may mower at the
engine speed of 2000 rpm, that's a little less
than 540 pto rpm. Reason 1 is to keep from
damaging the mower, Reason 2 is to keep the
rear inside wheel from spinning on a turn and
digging up the ground so bad. I have a 6 foot
Bush Hog brand finish mower with high wind
output, and it does a great job at that rpm.
the high wind out put is to blow off ( sweep )
a 700 foot drive way, and it does a great job.
