Thanks guys for all the info. I agree with the breakin period on the motor and the importance of the fluid change in the first 50 hours. A lot of new parts mashing together = a lot of fine metal particals.
I thought the dealer was a little wacked when he told me the first 50 hour service would be about $700.00 becuase there was a lot to do and all the fluids had to be changed but for that money they better change ALL the fluids including the front end.
STP eh? never thought of that. Sound like a good idea to get those parts coated from the start.
I was a little worried on the stability of the unit on slopes especially with the FEL. Any idea what would be the safe working grade? 25%?
If I could post a picture I would post one of my hoe upside down in my fish pond last fall. Fine line between being cocky and stupid and I crossed it.
Also, it is a little short in the PTO department because of the hydro 25hp but it will be maily used for mowing tall grass along the driveway and between my apple trees. What rpm would you run it? I know on the tach it has a indicator at 540 so run it there?
I am used to running pretty much everything else I have wide open but that is how they need to be run.
Thanks guys, you have been a great help.
