In Reply to: Any suggestions on what not to do to my new tractor posted by slang on Tuesday, March 25, 2008:
I've owned several brands and sizes of tractors myself, never a dozer. The Kubota don't
seem to be any different from the others, except
it's a little light footed for it's size. I've always purchased gear driven instead of hydro,
just my preference. The suggestions above are
good. I think with the light weight of the
machine it would be a good idea to be a little
careful on slopes (turn over)and don't let
anyone jerk it around. Other than that I think
Kubota is a well built machine and they will
give years of service. We had several kubota
HST's at work and they had many high hours on
them, they didn't give any trouble, but we did
keep them serviced. One kubota HST we had did
have a small engine problem, we loaded it on
a trailer and headed down the Super Slab to
the dealer, during this trip the chains came
loose and the tractor rolled off the trailer
while the driver was doing 60mph, the tractor
stayed on its wheels and rolled backward for
several yards and came to a stop it a ditch.
To our surprise NO DAMAGE, the dealer checked
the Kubota out for any problem the goof could
have cause, they found nothing, the tractor
is still being used today.
