Hi Howard I imagine this is for a snowblower. I connect the to the back spline first and make sure the ring is snapped on all the way. Then put on the front spline. This is done with the front mount sitting on the floor, carefuly set the mount into place. Atleast this is how I do it on my BX 22 Good luck
