Near as I can tell it is the same as a L185DT Kubota , but don't tell a dealer you have a L1501 or you will not get parts, these tractors are getting quite old so even the cross may not get you any heavy duty parts, unless you search parts yards. You can go to a Napa dealer and get most filter parts still. To stop the PTO just put the PTO gearshift in neutral. If it still turns then it is just the oil turning the shaft. When an implement is attached it stops when you push in the clutch.
