I have about 7 acres of lawn that I mow. Ground is not real smooth, I've been clearing off a total of 10 acres and may someday retill to smooth it out but for now it's not a manicured lawn. I am currently mowing with a 6' Caroni finish mower. It does well but with the price of fuel going up and size of the lawn increasing I would like to cut down on mowing time. I am considering buying a flail mower and only mow every other week. If I do that with the finsh mower it bogs in the high grass and looks bad. Anyone cutting a lawn with a flail? How well does it work? I am running a L2900 and will need at least a 6' flail. I see some can be ordered with more blades for fine grass. I should say that these 7 or so acres are not counting the 1 1/2 acre around the house that I mow with a Cub lawnmower. Thanks.
