Well Mike, I'm certainly not a mechanic. I do own one of these tractors though and I've learned two things you should never do is let them run out of fuel and let them sit for long periods of time. I would say take it for a joy ride once a week even if you don't need to use it and keep using the fuel treatment and I bet that will solve your problem.
