Does anyone know if the hydraulic system on the L48 is a "open" or "closed " center set-up? I have to make sure when removing or installing the back hoe to switch two levers in the proper position to keep from "dead heading" the pump, which may cause damage. I would like to have an additional valve to operate a ram on some 3-point hitch attachments, but want to really know for sure how to plumb things up, without any risk of damaging the hydralic system. There are 3 hose connections used when the back hoe is attached. Inlet hose, Return hose, and Swing inlet hose. I don't know if I could come out of those connections when in the 3-point hitch mode, or if it would be better to try and plumb into the valve body that controls the FEL, since it works reguardless if the hoe is on or not? I was told that Kubota makes a aux. valve kit for the L48, but it was around $600. Thanks for any information on the subject....
