I'm still having trouble with my L48. For some time now, when I turn the switch to the first position, I would hear a click and the glow plug light would come on, but when I turned the switch further to the start position, I would have to hold it there for several seconds before the engine would begin cranking. After a while, it failed to start from the switch at all. I could turn the switch to the first position, and let the glow plug light cycle off, the jump across the solenoid on the starter, and it would fire right up. Now, in the first position, nothing happens. No click, no glow plug light, no dash lights nothing. It will still start, by jumping across the solenoid on the starter, but now I have no lights, except for the emergency flashers. The local dealer wasn't much help in troubleshooting the problem, but did provide a printout, which shows the relays, switches controller, etc., but no wiring diagram. I would like to start at the start switch to determine available power there, then onto the next component, till I find the problem, with the aid of a wiring diagram. That is, unless someone would be kind enough to point me in the right direction, as to which part or parts are most likely bad. The controller is the most expensive part. Does anyone know it's functions? If it controls the other relays, that may be a place to start?
Any suggestions, or wiring diagrams, would be very helpful.
Thanks in advance!
