It's not a bad battery or dirty terminals! I am having the same problem, it randomly occurs, always when I am late or it's dark outside! When you turn the key switch on for the glowplugs all is fine but when you turn it to start the motor all the power drops to about 3.5 volts and drains the battery within minutes. I have traced all the wires looking for a ground but all is fine. Then the tractor will work fine for severl weeks, months? At first I thought it just wasn't charging enough because I let my tractor idle a lot with the headlights on but that would be rediculous, have you seen the size of those bulbs? Maybe it is the battery, I know that the vibration can break the plates inside but I haven't ever heard of them fixing themselves and working for a while! I have replaced two of the relays up under the instument cluster for glowplug issues but I am guessing one of the others is causing this problem. If my tractor is still dead today I will be able to trace it down, last time this happened it started the next day and was fine?
