Mark - Went out to the garage and got my manual for the RC44-G deck. Looking down on the top of the deck, loop the belt clockwise around the left pulley, and then slip the belt goes clockwise around the drive pulley under the gear box; from there it comes out on the bottom and goes counterclockwise around the tension pulley, and then over to the pulley on the far right. Quoting text from the manual on removing the belt (reverse these steps to install a new belt): 1) remove the mower from the tractor, 2) clean around the gear box, 3) remove the left and right hand shields from the deck and the right hand bracket which mounts the gear box to the deck, 4) remove the tension screw, 5) remove the belt from the tension pulley and slip belt over the top of the gear box. Adjust the tension screw to lengthen the spring to 135mm, and tighten the bracket bolt. Hope this helps!
