I have a '94 425 AWS that developed an electrical problem. While mowing the engine shutdown like to ran out of fuel. It was low. I refilled the tank and the engine would not start. When starting with gas poured down the carb it runs.
The fuel pump will not run and the low oil pressure light is also on while the engine is running on fuel down the carb.
- I removed the fuel pump and bench tested it. It runs fine.
- I reinstalled the fuel pump and hot wired it. Again it runs fine.
- By hot wiring the fuel pump the machine runs flawlessly and the low oil pressure light turns out. With the hot wire on the pump the ignition key will not shut off the engine.
I suspect it lost a ground somewhere. Any ideas?
