Keith,are u using a Koh or deere filter?If not try one and only use 10w/30 SJ or better oil.U could even use synthetic 10w/30.I rare occasions I have found oil pressure relief val's misadjusted,but they usually knock at low speeds and doesn't matter hot or cold.
Try a local Koh dealer in your area that is a Master Koh dealer,they get reviewed pretty closely to keep the master level.
