I saw on another web site someone else had problems with this. I will try to find it and send it to you. I have been told that you should never run 93 octane in a mower, but I know this isn't the problem. Sounds like trash in fuel system. I have been told that the fuel injection on the 445 is very expensive to fix. I will research this and let you know.

: My 445 has started to surge very badly after running for five minutes or so. I thought it might be bad fuel but I only had half a tank and mixed it with two bottles of dry gas and half a tank of premium (93 Octane). I doubt it is a carburation issue since this tractor is fuel injected. Could it be something else in the fuel system that has been known to fail or plug? Has anyone had this problem? This tractor is a '97 with less than 85 hours.
