: Does anyone know anything about a 1993 Model 175 John Deere lawn tractor. I may buy one for $1600 and would like to know more about it (HP, etc.) I do know it is a 38" deck and hydro drive. Thanks for your help.
I have a 175 from 1987. Paid about 3200 new with a grass bagger. Mine has a 14.5 HP Kawaski engine with pressure lubrication - engine has given me no trouble. The only thing I have had to replace is deck jackshafts and the electric clutch that engages the blades. No hour meter but I figure about 800-900 hours on the motor.
