Instructions for replacing the mower deck belt on your equipment can probably be found at the John Deere website for residential equipment:

To use the site, you only need to register. JD offers many fine services, including parts catalogues and lawn tips on their site.
Removing the deck involves unloading belt tension, releasing the forward deck support and dislodging two pins in the rear of the deck. It slides out (to the right side). The whole thing takes about 2 minutes once you know how. Check out the site for safety tips when doing this task. Good luck.
