Tom: I just finished removing my belt on my LX176.I started with the front wheels on automotive jack stands,I then removed the seat, then I removed the 2 bolts under the seat and the 2 nuts under the running boards.then I pulled off the height adjusting knob for the deck adjust. Then I removed the body from the frame.Don't forget to unplug seat safty switch connection.I then pulled gas tank out of frame rails and set to side leaving fuel line connected. You will then see a plastic fan on top of pulley at rear drive I removed snap ring and removed plastic fan I was then able to remove belt from rear pulley. From underneath I removed center idler pulley by removing nut in center of pulley. Then I removed spring loaded idler pulley guide and then the pulley. I unkooked the belt from the belt guides. I then went to the front by the electric PTO. I removed the nut and bolt that holds the belt guide at front right then slipped belt guide away from pulley then I unhooked the wire connection to the PTO and I was able to remove blt from pulley then you will have to unhook one of the steering linkage rods to remove belt from under tractor. It took me about 1 hour to remove I hope when I get the new belt it goes on as easy. Good Luck
