Hello, I have a JD STX 30 with a Kohler Command 9 Model CV 125 motor.
When I switch the key fom run to start I am not getting the switched 12 volts to the solenoid. I traced the wires and the wire from the solenoid goes to 1 pin of a 2 pin connector. The other wire in this connector comes from a relay mounted near the battery.
The two wires run to two small brass or copper terminals on the axle housing. I don't know what these terminals are for (possibly a neutral switch?)
When I put a voltmeter to the relay side of the connector there is 0V -- when I turn the switch to run I see the voltage slowly rising to 12 V -- when I move the switch to start the voltage drops back down to 0 and I have to put the switch back to run and wait for the voltage to climb again.
Does anyone know what the two terminals are on the housing? I tried jumping across this connector and turning the key and I got the starter to jump and that's it. I can't get it to do it again though.
Thanks in Advance.
