Without seeing or hearing the tractor, I can't really say what it is worth exactly, but $800 sounds reasonable for a 185 in good condition with a cart. If the cart is from Deere, figure that is worth at least $100 of the price. During your test drive, go up and down some slopes, steer it from full left to full right a couple of times, and use your ears and eyes to look for sights and sounds that might indicate a problem.
