If you have not gotten the 400 going yet and live in a cold area it might also be that you still have summer fuel in the machine. I changed the filter but the summer fuel started to give me problems at around 32 deg. even with an additive in the fuel(When I change the filter and clean the bowl I take out the top plug on the fuel filter, hook up a addaptor to it with a hose and funnel and back feed the fuel to the pump bowl. You may have to crack the line at the pump.)Also mine did not start till I drained the tank - filled it w/ a 50/50 mix of Diesel / kerosene. I am now at a 60/40 mix and it is ok. Dealer said that I should ask the station what mix they have, it varies, and make my mix accordingly. When bleading the line at the injector be careful you don't twist the lines, I was lucky to get two cracked and got it going. I made sure to spray them w/ penetrating fluid in case I ever need to crack them open again.
I would suggest that you also drain the tank sometime if your guage does not work and start to add 1 gallon/liter at a time. Get a rod, paint it flat black, dry it good and then mark it every gallon/litre for at least 4-5 marks so that you do not run it dry again, it saves me the guess work, and I don't run dry now.
