thanks for the quick response, Jason. I just had a chance this morning to go through and check out what you said there. I still can't seem to get it. The mower will continue to run when I disconnect the battery. I checked *all* the connections and they seemed ok. Here are a couple of other symptoms that just appeared with this problem. Now there is clicking from the starter relay when I try to crank it. I know this is probably expected with no juice in the battery, but I don't really know. Now the blades will cut off on me in the middle of mowing. I expected with the electric pto that it wouldn't cut on without jumping it, but once it is on, shouldn't it stay on until it is disengaged by physical means? Unless you have any other ideas, I may just have to take it in to the shop on Mon. Thanks a lot for your help.
