John, have looked to see if the clutch is engaging after you try to turn it back on after it gets hot? If it doesn't want to engage again after it is hot you may have an electrical problem, bad connection. If I isnt the electrical end of it you may simply have a worn out clutch, does it engage the clutching mechanism but the pully will not rotate? Try turning on the clutch with out a load on it and see what happens, if it rotates the pully then you put a load on it and that stops the pully, your clutch is worn out.
