The deck is a black deck.
The thing was fully serviced two months ago:(
That included all new bearings and pulleys on the deck, as well as a new clutch etc. THere is no slack in the pulleys.
The tensioner keeps the belt well tight. I know because i have now replace 5 or 6 of them. I would say that it is as tight as it should be without being over tight.
I am going to try to get a different belt...
Same basic cross section but about an extra quarter inch thicker.
I have noticed that the proper belts run very low in the pulleys. That "should" be ok, but it does give me a little room to use a thicker belt and take advantage of the extra grip.
I have also noticed that the belts get very hot...
I dont know how hot they should run...
Any ideas on new belts and running heat?
