In Reply to: Value of a Model 330? posted by Gregory Williamson on Monday, July 26, 2004:
Well, the 330 is not a compact utility tractor, it is a diesel garden tractor. It is like the legendary 318 with more torque. I wouldn't buy it if you plan on starting an excavating business, because it is too small, but for a homeowner with 3-5 acres, plus for snow removal and little landscape jobs around the house, it is a great machine. I am concerned about the price being so low, does it have a zillion hours on it? Don't be fooled by nice paint, it is the engine and hydro that need to be in good condition. Are you any where near PA? I'd really be interested in seeing a 330 for that price. They do have their little quirks, such as keeping the cooling system clean, removing all debris from the radiator often. Letting them warm up a few moments before putting them to work. But if it is in decent shape (please remember I havsn't seen it) I'd jump on it for $1000.
