Thanks for the info. I successfully transplanted a 12.5hp i/c engine this week. Brian
: : I have a John Deere 111 lawn tractor (serial #M00111S239190). Can somebody tell me the year of this mower? Also, the 11hp BS is shot, I was thinking of replacing it with something larger (15 - 17hp). Will this swap work with the electric clutch or do I need to stick with the smaller 12hp replacement? Thanks for any help. Brian
: You need to look on the front of the engine for some numbers. There is a model, a type & a code. The first two numbers of the code is the year of your unit.
