if your wedges are loose and your rack ajusting bolt turns, hub should move,if not cant remember for sure if that bolt is keyed to the gear, it might be sheared. on one of our tractors 8640, its used in alot of rice and mud the ajusting bolt was froze, plus hadnt been moved in 20 years didnt help either, i had too take the opposite wedge, from the the adjusting gear out of the hub, lift the wheel then you can slide the hub. i had to do this to do some final drive work. HINT probly alot of you have had stuck wedges,we do all the time, get a piece heavy wall pipe ,the heavier the better, that will fit over your axle weld a plate and a handle on one end , the other end cut one half of the pipe back so it only contacts one wedge, grind the outer part of the pipe down so it doesnt hit the hub. With your jack screws in the hub tight already take the pipe and the biggest hammer you can get. (big feller to swing the hammer helps too) Use your handle too hold the pipe in the rite position, while someone else hits the pipe. HAPPY HAMMERING GOOD LUCK That dont work i have put 2 20 ton bottle jacks against the hub and final drive, if you have room, to put pressure on it to help get the wedges loose when using the pipe. if that dont work about all you can do is get out the gouging rods (which aint no fun) and cut out what you can of the wedge. JD's wedges dont gouge as easy as fords different metal i guess (one nite i ran out of gouging rod, tried sum 6011 rod it worked better dont know why), the gouging rod just seamed to smooth the surface on the John Deere's wedge, but gouging rods seem to cut our fords wedges ok If you can find it, i use a penetrating oil called (Pb Blaster) probly the best stuff i ever used wd-40 is junk after using it. HOPE I HAVE HELPED SOMEONE But im sure you have fixed your problem by now if anyone has a question email me maybe i can help
