With a little bit of searching on the internet I found out that the manufacturer of the hydrostatic transmission is Tufftorq, Model K46 LT for the LT 150,160,170 & 180. There are John Deere P/N's listed for most of the components. The oil is 5W30 Motor Oil. I was able to print out a parts diagram with a parts list for the John Deere. Also some of the other versions use the same style K46 axle and tufftorq sells individual components. so the transaxle can be serviced if the need arises.
