I recently bought an LT160 and am very happy with it. However, looking at the owners manual and the service manual there is no maintenance and no parts breakdown of the transmission. Does any one knows who makes the transmission and are there parts availible other than a replacement transmission from John Deere if it ever breaks down. I can't see replacing a transmission for an O-ring/seal leak. There is not even a provision for checking or adding oil. What Spec of oil would you use. 90W gear oil or hydraulic fluid? My old MTD I had to relace a gear in it and parts were readily availible.
