HI,
About 2 years ago I Bought The LX277 For a local John Deere dealer. when he brought it to my house
I asked him about that. Being good friends with him for about 10 years he told me. At the rear of the mower there will be the hitch. At the openings on the bottom left hand corner will be a thick wire wraped in black plastic hose with a coupler. Undo the coupler and buy a small piece of wire. The wire Runs on the left side of the of the body. Than on the wire conected to the body insert the wire into one end and the other bend and insert to the other part of the conecter.
That would leave one conecter not hoked up( That would be the conecter runing down toward the ground leave it unplugged.) After finished wrap both ends with electrical tape. THIS WILL TAKE CARE OF THAT PROBLEM.
