My friend has this old 1966 JD450 dozer and he had the engine rebuilt at a competant rebuilder and he put the engine in and it ran fine for less than 5 min. and now it won't rev up past idle.I asked him if he timed the injector pump and he said no that they had just bolted it on and hooked up all the lines. We have no repair manual and I was wondering if someone out there would be good enough to tell me if this pump must be timed and how to go about doing it.Thanks in advance for any help that anyone can give me.
Regards Clay
