In Reply to: STX 38 and battery problems posted by GB on Thursday, August 02, 2001:
: I have a '96 STX 38 whose battery died not long ago. We replaced it with a new JD battery, which also died three weeks later. They refused to hold a charge on the tractor. Any help would be appreciated as I have to jump it off my truck now to mow the lawn every time.
I just purchased a 96 STX 38 and appear to be having same/similar problems as you are having(or had) with battery going dead. Did you resolve and how? Thanks.
