Randy - The linkage could be the problem. You really need the information from the tech manual to adjust it properly. I don't have that information, but someone may be able to help you in that area.
Is the color of the fluid red or amber? If it's red, it could be original. If it's amber, it has been changed at least once in it's life. Filters can be wiped off to look virtually new. - Dave
