Hi Joe,
I bought and replaced the voltage regulator on the STX. I checked all the wire and fuses and all looked good. I will see if this takes care of the problem or not. So far it is starting up just fine without me having to put the battery on a charger. I will know more in 4 of 5 more times of starting and using the tractor. Thanks again for your help and suggestions.
