The JD 95 is a very well made combine. I ran one 4500 hours doing custom combining and had very few problems with it. Do the regular maintenance and it will last you many more hours. Give the big variable speed shive slide 8 shots of grease each day and it will last over 1000 hrs, under grease it and it will last only a few hundred.
Take the variable speed sheeve assembly all apart in the off season and check the bearings, grease them with a needle used for that purpose, and pack the space between the bearings full with grease.
Do not let the drive belts get too loose, or you will burn them up and/or they will slip and waste time. They are costly.
grease all sealed bearings once a season with a grease needle, and you may never have the hated down time of changing a bearing in the heat of harvest.
