Hi, this is my first time here. Let me give you a bit of info on whats going on. I'm going to be a future owner of a John Deere 185 Hydro(don't know year thpough) which I'm buying from one of my clients father who lives in Port Saint Lucy, FL. This tractor was barely used at all from the original owner. The problem is, the current owner(who is up in age) only used the tractor twice in 2 years, because of two heart attacks he suffered from. This resulted in the carberator being in bad condition.
He's offering the tractor to me for only $300, which I think is an excellent deal not to pass on.
3 questions though:
What other problems do you think I should look for not being used that much?
I was wondering what the wheel base is of the tractor, so I can mount the ramps for the truck?
The bed of my truck is 39inches wide and the owner said that the tractor is 3.5 feet wide. Is there any way I could remove something from the tractor to make it fit?
I will keep you updated on whats up latter.
Thanks.
