I recently aquired a JD 316 with a Onan P218G. The guy I got it from said he was mowing one day and the engine backfired and then quit running. I was wondering, before I go tearing into it, if anyone had any ideas where to start looking. I figure it might have to do something with the timing, but I may be wrong. It wouldn't be the first time. Thanks for your help.
