Greg - There is a process to obtain a "Duplicate" serial number plate. You have to start the process at a John Deere Dealer. Many dealers either don't want to mess with helping or else they are ignorant of the process. There is a form that has to be filled out and I believe numbers from the engine are required. Also, I believe there is a fee for processing. If the dealer you purchased it from is a JD Dealer, I'd start with them. You might also check Deere's Web site for their customer service number, and inquire with them. Good luck. - Dave
