In Reply to: JD1020 Front End Loader help posted by dave on Monday, May 28, 2001:
: I have a 1020 with a 48 Front End loader. Silly question, but I need to change the oil filter and clean the air filter. There is not enough clearance to do with the loader attached. I have never had it off and have little experience with tractors/hydraulics in general. Is there a defined way in which to do this? Looks easy enough but want to make sure I don't get myself into trouble. Any assistance or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I have a JD950 and to acess the air cleaner and battery I raise the bucket to full height ( Preferably against a tree or some thing to hold it in case!) This allows full opening of the hood w/out removing loader Thank you CP
