Not seeing the condition of the tractor, it's hard to confirm if it's a good price. A good place to get a feel for prices is by checking ebay. Search under riding mowers and tractors and then narrow the search further by specifying John Deere. I would guess that the Case guy is going to sell it for a little less than a John Deere guy will. I just bought a John Deere snow plow for my tractor at a Case/Toro dealership pretty cheap because it had been sitting there a while and he wanted to get it out of there. Good luck!
