I just had a problem with a rebuild on 16hp kohler.. would barely run..finally after 5th teardown I decided not to use the primary timing mark 0n the crank and use the secondary timing mark--guess what- runs smooth and strong..this is a non balance gear engine. The kohler manual clearly calls for the primary timing mark to be used... but this one needs the secondary..what is going on??...
