It was manufactured with a 16 hp Kohler engine for one year in 1978. Then production stopped, and later resumed in '84 thru '92 with an 18 hp Onan engine. The '78 Kohler model had the "closed" end rear frame, and is technically similar to the 312, 314, & 317 models. The Onan Powered 316 is similar to the 318, 322, and 332 with an "open" rear frame section. A great tractor nonetheless. Goes for about $1500-$2000 used. I think it sold for about $3000 new.
