fully adjustable throttle on 9000 series combines?

I am a grad. from the John Deere Ag. Tech program in Calmar, IA. I had an idea of making an adjustable throttle like that on a 8000 series tractor that would work on the 9000 series combine. I feel this would be better then the 2 or 3 position throttle that they have now. Is this a good idea or not?
