JD changed the design of the hydraulic cylinders s(starting with S/N 02815) and they are not rebuildable even though JD says they are and even sells a pretty nice high quality seal kit. What happens is the inner snap ring that is supposed to come off when the rod guide is tapped back into the cylinder will instead travel with the guide making it impossible to take apart for a rebuild/reseal. New cylinders are pretty pricey as one might imagine.
My loader is less than a year old and has fewer than 10 hours on it when half of the seals started leaking (no, it was not abused). In my book, that is falls into the "junk" category. Perhaps others are content with leaking seals with less than 10 hours, I'm not. Warranty should cover it, but this is supposed to be a high quality machine....
