Hugh - The electrical system on a 318 is rather complex. The black box is a series of relays and timers that provide logic to the electrical system. No, it won't run without the time delay module (black box). They run around $250. From what you've described, I wonder if you have a circuit breaker that's cutting out on you. - Dave
