Usually on any engine that has blowby as your
describing... worn or stuck rings...clogged up crankcase breather... too thin or too low viscosity engine oil been used. This type engine will run a bit warm, so heaver oil should be used, if you're not already useing something like 30w. I had one of those many years ago, best
I remember it called for straight 40w oil.
