I have an '87 318 H2. When you flip the switch for the mid-pto the engine dies. I unplugged the pto coil and the tractor starts right up, you can flip the pto switch and it does not kill the engine and the pto light on the dash lights up. I tested voltage at the plug to the pto and had 12.96 volts.
Do I need to install a new field coil?
