I have a john deere 425 AWS that just developed a problem. The tractor starts OK and seems to run OK until the PTO is engaged for about 10 seconds. The PTO engages fine and the mower blades seem to turn smoothly until 10 seconds have elapsed at which point the engine dies. It doesn't act like it is stalling due to excessive load, it seems to act as if you just turned the key off which makes me think it is electrical in nature. This is very repeatable and happens over and over whether the engine is hot or cold. It will run indefinitely as long as the PTO is off. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
